How to equalize MP3

How about if we arrange this situation together and see how to equalize MP3 thanks to some free tools designed in a more or less specific way for this purpose? I promise you that you do not have to make any effort and that the results will be more than excellent even if you’re not a great computer expert or audio editing. Let’s start now!

If you want to find out how to equalize MP3 easily, the first program, I recommend you try is LASTAR. Then connect to the Internet site of the program and click on the LASTAR_setup_win32.exe entry to download it to your PC. Download is complete open, double clicking on it, the file you just downloaded and, in the window that opens, click first on Run and Yes and then on OK and Next.

Accept then the conditions of use of the program, putting the check mark next to the entry I accept the agreement, and click first on Next for four consecutive times and then on Install and Finish to finish the installation process and start LASTAR.

In the window that opens, select the item Open from the File menu and select all the audio files to which you want to equalize the volume, make sure there is a check mark next to the Output level and use the adjustment bar nearby to adjust the volume level to be applied to the tracks. Then click on the Launch processing button and wait for the equalization procedure to end.

By default, after you have equalized MP3, LASTAR saves the equalized versions of the songs in the same folders as the original ones (adding LASTAR at the end of the new file name),  but you can change this setting and select a different destination folder by removing the check mark from the entry Keep input path and clicking on the Output button on the left.

Thanks to the Compression and Noise level adjustment bars you can also reduce or increase the compression and ” noise ” level of the selected MP3. Be careful, though, because by abusing these two functions you can negatively affect the final quality of the songs.

If you simply want to level the volume of your MP3s without reworking them, you can also try out MP3Gain, the free program I showed you in my previous guide on how to normalize MP3. But if you have more professional needs and want to reshape the sound values of each song.
